BENTON -- Theon Emil Robert, 92, of Benton died Friday, Feb. 10, 1995, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 23, 1902, at Benton, son of Andrew and Anna Dohogne Robert.
He first married Emma A. Ledure Nov. 3, 1926, at Kelso. She preceded him in death July 30, 1934. He then married Genevieve Lotfin Jan. 26, 1937, at New Hamburg.
Robert was the oldest living member of the St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. He joined when the parish was founded in 1905. He was a retired farmer and cattleman.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Vernon Robert of Cape Girardeau, Jordan "Gus," Gil and Don Robert of Benton; a daughter, Georgianna Bohannon of Benton; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
One son, three brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Friends may call today after 2 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton. Parish rosary will be held at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Denis Catholic Church, with the Revs. Normand Varone, James Seyer and Oscar Lukefahr officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
