THELMA WILKE

JACKSON -- Thelma M. Wilke, 82, of Jackson died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 19, 1914, at Millersville, daughter of Benjamin and Mathilda Moore Fulbright. She and Aaron Wilke were married April 14, 1931. He died Jan. 2, 1994.

The Wilkes moved to Jackson in 1957 from Kurreville. She had worked at the former Popp's Grocery in Jackson, and retired from the housekeeping department at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau in 1976. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Wilke of Sedgewickville, Dean Wilke of Millersville; a daughter, Pat Bollinger of Marble Hill; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 3:30-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. O. David Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
