Thelma Ruth Tucker, 88, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Fornfelt to the late Barney and Ora Greenlee Beggs.

She was a member of East Cape Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Phyllis (David) Schwab of Jackson; sons Ira L. (Donna) Froggatt of Scott City and Tracy M. (Martha) Tucker of McClure, Illinois; brother, James Beggs of Cape Girardeau, and sister, Barbara Sue Tanner of Cape Girardeau; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Franklin Marion Tucker; and children Ronnie Tucker, Diane Ward and Ruth Ann Baltzell.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Raymond Oxford officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois.
