ADVANCE -- Thelma C. Richards, 79, of Advance died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 22, 1917, at Sank, daughter of John and Della Masters Garner. She and Harvey Richards were married Dec. 9, 1935, in Advance. He died Nov. 21, 1992.
Richards was a sewing machine operator at Inland Shoe Co. 32 years. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two sons, Glen Richards of Kansas City, Loren Richards of Waterlou, Ill.; four daughters, Wanda Cummins of Inlet Beach, Fla., Jerldine Cumpton of Washington, Mo., Margie Garner of Advance, Carolyn Kalemis of Creve Coeur; a brother, Vernice Gardner of Advance; a sister, Velma Lee of Pacific; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson and two brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Brad Moore and Frank Heitman officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
