JACKSON -- Thelma Owens Masters, 71, 2138 Otto Drive, Jackson, died at her home Tuesday, June 20, 1995.
She was born April 18, 1924, in Augusta, Ga., daughter of John and Nellie Mae Redd Owens. She married Samuel D. Masterson on June 30, 1945. He survives.
Masterson was a homemaker. She also had been a beautician in Cape Girardeau in the 1950s. She is a veteran of World War II, a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson and the Harvester Sunday School class. She moved to Jackson from Fair Oaks, Calif., in 1990.
Other survivors are a daughter, Cathy Masterson of Garland Texas; a brother, Joe Owens of Martinex, Ga. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
