MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Thelma Louise Nanney, 89, of Marble Hill passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Marble Hill. She was born Jan. 2, 1930, in Scopus, Missouri, daughter of William and Alice Nations Nanney. She and Paul Lester Huntsman Sr. were united in marriage, and he passed away 1977...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Thelma Louise Nanney, 89, of Marble Hill passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home in Marble Hill.

She was born Jan. 2, 1930, in Scopus, Missouri, daughter of William and Alice Nations Nanney. She and Paul Lester Huntsman Sr. were united in marriage, and he passed away 1977.

Thelma worked as a waitress and was of the General Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Jean Huntsman of St. Ann, Missouri; brother, Bobby Nanney of Marble Hill; and sister, Louise Smith of Imperial, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Nanney; parents; sons, Donald Ray, Karl Dean and Paul Lester Huntsman Jr.; brothers; Melvin, Lester, Vester, John, Lee and Alfred Nanney and an infant, Troy Nanney; and sisters, Ethel Shriner, Velma Cook, Stella Carmen and Nancy Dockins.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elijah Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery near Scopus.
