ZALMA, Mo. -- Thelma Myers, 86, of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at South Brook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington, Mo. She was born Feb. 22, 1915, near Zalma, daughter of Fulton and Tula Harold Cooper. She and James Doward Myers were married Jan. 21, 1934...

ZALMA, Mo. -- Thelma Myers, 86, of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at South Brook Skilled Nursing Center in Farmington, Mo.

She was born Feb. 22, 1915, near Zalma, daughter of Fulton and Tula Harold Cooper. She and James Doward Myers were married Jan. 21, 1934.

Myers was a member of Genevieve Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, James Myers of Barnhart, Mo., Jerry Myers of Ste. Genevieve, Larry Myers of Houston, Texas, Lonnie Myers of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Cline Cooper of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.; three sisters, Ina Williams and Iona McChutheon of St. Louis, Hazel Schollser of Chaffee, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington from 4-8 p.m. today, and Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., after 10 a.m.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Liley Funeral Home, with the Revs. Elmer Killian and Delbert Allen officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery near Marble Hill.
