SIKESTON, Mo. -- Thelma Lorraine Sissom Johnson, 80, of Sikeston died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at her home.
She was born March 1, 1923, in Caledonia, Mo., daughter of John Hughes and Pearl Virginia Hicks Grenia. She married Henry Casper Sissom, who preceded her in death. She later married Henderson Anderson Sissom, who also preceded her in death. She married Jerome Johnson, who died April 6, 1989.
Johnson had worked at Guaranteed Homes in California, Wood Walnut Factory in St. Louis, and Grecian Steak House in Sikeston.
Survivors include a son, Allen Sissom of Sacramento, Calif.; five daughters, Virginia Cummings of Madison, Calif., Darlene Killough and Geraldine Rodreguez of Woodland, Calif., Lillie Curtis of Cedartown, Ga., Helen Beeson of Sikeston; a brother, William Grenia of Witt, Ill.; four sisters, Evalee Myers of Woodland, Lillian Shy of St. Charles, Mo., Mary Williams and Dorothy Barr of California; 18 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and a sister.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Blodgett Cemetery at Blodgett, Mo.
