Thelma Louise James, 92, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Puxico, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 12, 1910, at Zalma, Mo., daughter of Bernie and Lillie Hindman Shell. She and Arthur James were married Nov. 20, 1933, at Jonesboro, Ill.
She was a teacher for 38 years, retiring from the Puxico School District. She was a member of Oak Grove General Baptist Church near Duck Creek, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Fish of Puxico, Mo., and Connie Zimmer of St. Charles, Mo.; one sister, Frieda Gray of St. Louis; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance, Mo., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Revs. Clayton Smith and Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park at Marble Hill, Mo.
