CHAFFEE -- Thelma Delores Hendrix, 82, of Chaffee, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1996, at Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Jan. 24, 1913, in Zalma, daughter of King Anderson and Mary Etta Abernathy Gobble. She and Cletis Hendrix were married Nov. 27, 1929. He died Oct. 13, 1990.
Hendrix retired from the cutting department at Sports Specialty Shoe Factory. She was a member of House of Prayer.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Hendrix of Chaffee, Doyle Hendrix of Cape Girardeau; five daughters, Anna Morgan of Poplar Bluff, Helen Hurst of Harrison, Ark., Jerrie Bentley and Reva Harrison of East Alton, Ill., Janice Hunter of Chaffee; a sister, Beatrice Dennison of Chaffee; 30 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Dan Sides officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
