Thelma Cornell, 83, of Rhinelander, Wis., died Monday, Dec. 7, 1992, at St. Mary's Hospital there.
She was born April 22, 1909, at Glen Allen, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C.B. Farrar. She and Bert Cornell were married April 22, 1945.
Cornell attended Barnes Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, and served as a U.S. Army nurse in Springfield during World War II.
The Cornells moved to Rhinelander in 1946. She was a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital many years, and had worked at Schiek Clinic and First National Bank. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, and VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Helen Hutson of Cape Girardeau, Wilma Bergjans of St. Louis, and a brother, Dr. George Farrar of Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service was held in Rhinelander earlier this week.
