Thelma P. Cook, 96, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at Saxony Village.
She was born Oct. 12, 1923, to Glen and Elsie Masters Bollinger. She married Huey D. Cook on Dec. 14, 1941.
Thelma graduated from Lutesville (Missouri) High School, where she excelled in volleyball.
Thelma will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose culinary skills were second to none. She was employed as a secretary at Southeast Missouri State University in the 1970s.
She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Larry (Geri Nuessle) Cook, Gary (Judy) Cook and Ronald (Brenda) Cook; former daughter-in-law, Martha Rader Cook; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Imogene Ridings; and daughter-in-law, Carol Watson Cook.
A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Saxony Village.
