ANNA, Ill. -- Thelma Juanita Clendenen, 80, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born July 23, 1920, in Delta, Ill., daughter of Alvah and Gladys Hammel Cain. She and Dean William Clendenen were married March 11, 1944, in Seattle, Wash.
Clendenen was a registered nurse at Choate Mental Health Center more than 30 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jonesboro, Ill.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Clendenen of Anna; a daughter, Cindy Parr of Jonesboro; a brother, Gerald Cain of Jonesboro; two sisters, Mary Stewart of Buncombe, Ill., Katherine Hale of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, a sister, and a brother.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro after 5 p.m. Friday.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmy Keller officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
