THELMA BRITTON

DUDLEY -- Thelma Britton, 63, of Dudley died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

She was born Jan. 25, 1935, at Gray Ridge, daughter of William and Irene Inez Ford Robinson. She and Jesse Britton were married Oct. 2, 1958, in Gray Ridge.

Britton lived in Stoddard County all her life, and at Dudley the past 37 years. She was a member of Dudley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Donald Britton of Oran; four daughters, Barbara Wells, Betty Patterson and Virginia Jaynes, all of Dudley, Ellen Sattler of Aquilla; a brother, William Robinson of Phil Campbell, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dudley Baptist Church. The Rev. Danny Collins will officiate, with burial in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
