UNIONTOWN -- Thekla Kassel, 85, formerly of Uniontown, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 1995, at DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur, Ga. She was born Oct. 4, 1910, in Uniontown, daughter of Theodosius John and Bertha Gench Frentzel. She and Paul I. Kassel were married Dec. 26, 1935. He died Jan. 29, 1979...

UNIONTOWN -- Thekla Kassel, 85, formerly of Uniontown, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 1995, at DeKalb Medical Center in Decatur, Ga.

She was born Oct. 4, 1910, in Uniontown, daughter of Theodosius John and Bertha Gench Frentzel. She and Paul I. Kassel were married Dec. 26, 1935. He died Jan. 29, 1979.

Kassel was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Feibish of Decatur; two sisters, Dora Breitenfeld of St. Louis, Elda Oswald of Perryville; a brother, Ted Frentzel of Uniontown. and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30 a.m.-noon.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
