ST. LOUIS -- The Rev. Robert "Bob" J. Daniel went to be at peace with his Heavenly Father on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at age 78. He was a dear husband to Audrey Kulifay Daniel; dear son of the late Rev. John and Anna Daniel; loving father and father-in-law to Linda and Dave Leach, Judy Daniel, Debra Daniel, Becky and Rick Prost, John and Kim Daniel, Sarah Daniel, Stephanie and Bob Bunton, Bob Daniel and Dave Daniel; proud grandfather to Jennifer, Jeff, Bo, Mike, Blake, Tiffany, Ross, Maci, Tess, Ben, Luke and greatly anticipated twins.. ...

ST. LOUIS -- The Rev. Robert "Bob" J. Daniel went to be at peace with his Heavenly Father on Friday, Nov. 29, 2002, at age 78.

He was a dear husband to Audrey Kulifay Daniel; dear son of the late Rev. John and Anna Daniel; loving father and father-in-law to Linda and Dave Leach, Judy Daniel, Debra Daniel, Becky and Rick Prost, John and Kim Daniel, Sarah Daniel, Stephanie and Bob Bunton, Bob Daniel and Dave Daniel; proud grandfather to Jennifer, Jeff, Bo, Mike, Blake, Tiffany, Ross, Maci, Tess, Ben, Luke and greatly anticipated twins.

He was a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, godfather, cousin and friend.

The Rev. Daniel was born and reared in Streator, Ill., and attended preparatory school in Fort Wayne, Ind. He graduated from Concordia Lutheran Seminary of St. Louis in 1949.

On Feb. 5, 1950, he married Audrey Kulifay at St. Lucas Slovak Lutheran Church where he vicared. Rev. Daniel served as pastor in Shamrock, Texas; Hooker, Okla.; Immanuel Chapel in St. Louis; and Hanover in Cape Girardeau; plus numerous vacancies, as he ministered for over 40 years.

He was an avid sports fan, geography buff, loved reading and was a spiritual guide and compassionate soul to many. He will be remembered for his laugh, intellect, wit, sincere interest in people and his devout spirituality.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Home, located at 7027 Gravois, and at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 7100 Morganford. Interment will be in Concordia Cemetery in St. Louis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saxony Lutheran High School, 804 N. Cape Rock Drive, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63701, St. Lucas Lutheran Church Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
