JACKSON -- The Rev. Andrew J. Fowler of Jackson died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was 75.
He was born April 5, 1923, at Desloge, son of Andrew and Mary Hunt Fowler. He married Lucy Bohnnenkamp at Desloge on June 8, 1946. She survives.
He formerly worked for Hussman Refrigeration and Wagner Electric in St. Louis. He was a minister for 34 years, serving United Methodist Church congregations in Gordonville, Fruitland, Bloomfield, Morehouse, Bernie and Elvins, among others.
He was affiliated with New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson at the time of his death.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
He also is survived by two daughters, Beverly Kasten of Pocahontas and Brenda Hardin of Park Hills; three sisters, Gertrude Boyle of Sullivan, and Florence Laws and Dorothy Moranville, both of Farmington; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Northcutt officiating.
Burial will be at St. Francis Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
