Tessie H. Steckler, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born July 2, 1910, in Burfordville, Mo., daughter of Morris and Minnie Underfeldt Huckstep. She and Paul Steckler were married in 1933, in Cape Gir-ardeau. He died in 1984...

Tessie H. Steckler, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born July 2, 1910, in Burfordville, Mo., daughter of Morris and Minnie Underfeldt Huckstep. She and Paul Steckler were married in 1933, in Cape Gir-ardeau. He died in 1984.

Steckler was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay Francis Franck of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Charles Blaylock officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
