Terry Smith

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Terry Roger Smith, 53, of Bloomfield died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Born April 5, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., he was the son of Thomas "Bud" and Mary Moore Smith.

A lifelong resident of Stoddard County, Smith was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Wappapello, Mo.

Survivors include his mother of Bloomfield; one daughter, Rachel Smith of St. Louis; and a sister, Patricia Monehan of Bloomfield.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Park officiating.

Burial with military rites will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery.
