Terry Lee Payne, 64, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at his home.
He was born Nov. 4, 1957, in Advance, Missouri, the son of Elvin "Bob" and Ruth Carver Payne. Terry and Gina Lee Eckert were united in marriage Aug. 15, 1981, in Mitchell. Illinois, and she survives.
He was employed as a line technician at Procter & Gamble in Fruitland. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Naval Reserve.
Terry had been baptized and believed in the Baptist faith. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking, turning pens and welding.
Survivors include his wife, Gina Payne of the home; son, Tyler (Whitney) Payne of St. Peters, Missouri; daughter, Becky (Jon Rose) Payne of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Henry Rose and Tucker Payne; brother, Gerald (Kathy) Payne of Advance; and sister, Annette (Andy) Deckard of Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Dr. Shawn Wasson officiating. Burial, with full military honor rites, will follow at New Hope McGee Cemetery in McGee, Missouri.
