CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Terry Lee of Chaffee, son of the late Raymond "Jack" and Mildred M. Burns Lee, was born Nov. 24, 1954, in Chaffee and departed this life Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at his home at the age of 66 years.
Lee retired from the Carpenters Union of St. Louis and was owner and operator of Lee Construction. He was a member of the Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810 for 43 years, liked raising cows, taking care of the horses, riding his motorcycle and relaxing at the farm. Terry was raised with religious values and was a firm believer in having faith.
On Oct. 11, 1989, he married the love of his life, Peggy Sanders. She survives of the home in Chaffee.
Terry had a high respect for Peggy often introducing her as "His Bride." Also surviving is one son, Travis Lee of Chaffee, whom he was very proud of. Other survivors include two brothers, Jerry (Linda) Lee and Kenny (Carol) Lee, all of Chaffee; two sisters, Stella (B.J.) Jackson of Smithton, Illinois, and Debbie (Bill) Simmons of Marion, Illinois; also, several nieces and nephew, valued friends and other relatives.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Brenda S. Owens, Peggy Joyce Lee and Nancy K. Cutright.
Memorial graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Travis Hendrix officiating at the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is conducting arrangements.
