HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Terry Lee Ladreiter, 75, of Huntsville passed away Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital.
He was born Aug. 22, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, son of Vernon and Trula Blaylock Ladreiter. He and Pam Reaves were married Jan. 20,1990, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Terry was a 1967 graduate of Jackson High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1970 in the Vietnam era.
After serving, he worked at Ladreiter Service Station, the power plant for the City of Jackson and Seabaugh Construction, and established T&S Commercial Cleaning, which he sold in 1984. Terry then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was an independent contractor for Carpet Pro. He then served as a manager for Telecommunications Company, when he moved to Huntsville.
Terry was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
Loving survivors include his wife of 34 years, Pam Ladreiter of Huntsville; brother, Rodney (the late Nancy) Ladreiter of Jackson; nieces, Carole (the late Bob) Baugh and Martha (Kenny) Austin, both of Jackson; four nephews, Rob and David Ladreiter, both of Jackson, Rob Mead of Houston and David Mead of Lago Vista, Texas.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wayne and Richard Ladreiter.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian Wendling officiating, with full military honors following the service.
Pallbearers will be Alex Austin, Brock Austin, Geoff Enders, Rob Ladreiter, David Ladreiter and Gabe Baugh.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Austin, Donny Holekamp, Charlie Smith, Chip VanAmburg, Jimmy Voges, Tim Smith, Melvin Ulrich and Mac Illers.
Private burial will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
