Samuel Terry Davidson, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 17, 1950, in Clarkton, Mo., to Rex Dowdy and Marjorie Cordelia Blaylock Davidson. He and Pamela Ann Scola were married Nov. 11, 1989, in St. Louis.
Terry was a 1968 graduate of Charleston High School in Charleston, Mo. He was a 1978 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University where he was a member of the Vet Corps.
He was in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973 and served in the Vietnam War.
Terry worked as a bonds claim representative for Travelers Insurance. He was an avid golfer, weight lifter, boater and was a single engine pilot. He also coached youth sports in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Davidson of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Brian Kyle Davidson and Eric Leigh Davidson of Cape Girardeau; and a brother, Rex Dowdy Davidson Jr. of Bertrand, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Christie Janell Davidson in August 2013.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. The funeral procession will be escorted by American Legion Riders Chapter 369. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park, with full military honors provided by Missouri Honors Team.
Memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warrior Project.
