PINHOOK -- Tennie Adams, 87, of Pinhook, died Thursday, April 4, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 18, 1908, in Arkansas, daughter of Wallace and Kathy Cartwright Jackson. She married John Q. Adams, who preceded her in death.
Adams moved here in 1941, and was a member of Opportunity Church of God In Christ at Charleston.
Survivors include a daughter, Bessie Rush of East Prairie; three sons, Preston Adams of East Prairie, Jessie Adams of Benton Harbor, Mich., John Adams of Joliet, Ill.; 33 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, brother and three sisters.
Funeral service will be at noon Friday at Opportunity Church. Pastor Steve Betts will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
Friends may call at the church Friday from 11 a.m. to service time.
