COMMERCE -- Lovetta J. "Tena" Jackson, 68, of Commerce died Friday, July 16, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 10, 1931, at Big Ridge, daughter of Marion and Mildred Mattingly Alberson.
On Nov. 11, 1950, she married James Preston Jackson at Piggott, Ark. He died Sept. 9, 1994.
She was a beautician and owned and operated Tena's Beauty Shop in Scott City. She was also a member of Commerce Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Jackson of Benton and Cecil Jackson of Commerce; two sisters, Bonnie Rice of Dexter and Sissy Robison of Huntsville, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. David Thompson officiating.
