OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Taylor Coursey, 92, of Olive Branch died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 22, 2003, in Sesser, Ill., son of Charles Monroe and Minnie Bell Quillman Coursey. He and Lucille Miller were married Aug. 6, 1933, in Alexander County, Ill.
Coursey was an ordained Freewill Baptist minister and served many years in Illinois, including the Olive Branch and Thebes areas. He had also worked in construction with the Patton Tully Co. of Memphis, Tenn.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carolyn "Connie" Schwieger of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, six sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., after 10 a.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Montgomery officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes, Ill.
