Tasha Dubbs, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Ann Arbor, Mich., daughter of Angelos and Angeline Marini Douvitsas. She and William Lee Dubbs were married Aug. 10,1957, in Angola, Ind. He died Aug. 14, 1997...

Tasha Dubbs, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Ann Arbor, Mich., daughter of Angelos and Angeline Marini Douvitsas. She and William Lee Dubbs were married Aug. 10,1957, in Angola, Ind. He died Aug. 14, 1997.

Dubbs received a degree in licensed practical nursing from the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor.

She was employed with the Circulation Department at the Southeast Missourian from 1977-96. Dubbs moved to Cape Girardeau in 1976 from Fredericktown. She had been a volunteer at the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.

Survivors include a son, Steve Dubbs of Jackson; two daughters, Debbie Cato of Cape Girardeau, Angie Cowell of Jackson; a brother, John Douvitsas of St. Louis; three sisters, Xantha Douvitsas, Anna Douvitsas and Frances Fry, all of Ann Arbor; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and two brothers.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bennett Jones officiating. Burial will be in McLain Chapel Cemetery at Indian Creek.
