Tanner Thorne

Tanner Lee Thorne, 27, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015.

He was born April 4, 1987, in Cape Girardeau to Dennis Thorne and Barbara Kitchen Trickey.

Tanner attended Cape Girardeau Central High School and was raised in the Church of God. He worked at Kmart, was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to watch his sons play baseball.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Trickey of Cape Girardeau; father, Dennis Thorne of Marble Hill, Missouri; sons, Tye and Tayton Thorne of Cape Girardeau; brother, Taylor Thorne of Jackson; stepsisters, Heather and Hailey Thorne of Marble Hill; maternal grandfather, Douglas Kitchen; paternal grandfather, Jerry Thorne; and mother of his children, Heather Thorne of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ron Trickey, and maternal grandmother, Loretta Kitchen.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Brother David McNeely officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial donations may be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
