BLOOMFIELD -- Sylvia A. Thompson, 82, of Bloomfield died Monday, March 27, 2000, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
She was born Feb. 27, 1918, at Bloomfield, daughter of Frank and Dora Gill Norris. She married Thurman Thompson, who preceded her in death.
Thompson had been a nurse aide in St. Louis, returning to Bloomfield in 1995.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol Jenkins of Caseyville, Ill., Thurma Herrington and Janet Richter of Agawam, Mass.; a brother, Kenneth Norris of Dexter; two sisters, Norma Norris and Kathleen Colvin of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
