PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Sylvia H. Meyer, 90, of Perryville died Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.
She was born July 17, 1925, in Cape Girardeau County, the daughter of Paul and Emma (Richter) Weber. She first married Herbert Geringer, and he preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1973. She later married Arnie Meyer. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 1996.
She had been a retail clerk at Rozier's Mercantile. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.
Survivors include a son, Charles (Theresa) Geringer of Perryville; three brothers, Melvin (Rose) Weber and Richard (Margaret) Weber, all of Perryville, and Harlen (Janet) Weber of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Wilma Weber of Perryville; a brother-in-law, Larry Steffens of Frohna, Missouri; three grandchildren, Brian Geringer (Sara Monks), Scott Geringer (Maria Huebner) and Stacey (Glen) Johnson; and three great-grandchildren, Grace Geringer, Rebecca Johnson and Henry Geringer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ruben Weber; three sisters, Meta Hoehn, Lorna Steffens and Alice Leimbach; and two infant sisters, Evelyn and Dorothy Weber.
Visitation will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at noon, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or school.
