ZALMA -- Sylvia Caroline Beyatte, 71, of Zalma, died Monday, May 31, 1993, at Wentzville. She was born March 28, 1922, at Kennett, daughter of Wesley and Annie Laden Goforth. She and Carel L. Beyatte were married Nov. 22, 1939, in St. Louis. He died Dec. 17, 1991...

ZALMA -- Sylvia Caroline Beyatte, 71, of Zalma, died Monday, May 31, 1993, at Wentzville.

She was born March 28, 1922, at Kennett, daughter of Wesley and Annie Laden Goforth. She and Carel L. Beyatte were married Nov. 22, 1939, in St. Louis. He died Dec. 17, 1991.

Survivors include a son, Carel Beyatte Jr. of Zalma; two daughters, Esther Carver of Breckenridge Hills, Betty Happold of Lemay; a brother, Howard Goforth of Union City, Pa.; two sisters, Mary Conway of Steelville, Mollie Sweaney of Kennett; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and great-grandson.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Matthew's Chapel in St. Louis. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5-9 p.m. today.
