SYLVESTER HEURING

NEW HAMBURG -- Funeral Mass for Sylvester "Vess" Heuring of New Hamburg was held Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The Revs. Ralph Duffner, Normand Varone, Robert Schumacher and William Stanton officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Chaffee was in charge of arrangements.

Heuring, 61, died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at his home.

He was born March 30, 1937, at New Hamburg, son of Lawrence and Clara Gosche Heuring. He and Dorothy Ann DeBrock were married Oct. 8, 1960, at Glennon.

Heuring was a salesman with Homestead Distributing Co., retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church and St. Joseph's Sodality.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Darrell Heuring of New Hamburg; a daughter, Cindy Seyer of Oran; three brothers, Charles and Joe Heuring of New Hamburg, Elmer Heuring of Kelso; a sister, Lorena Beussink of New Hamburg; and five grandchildren.
