SIKESTON, Mo. -- Syble Edna Ross, 81, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Sikeston Convalescent Center. She was born Jan. 23, 1919, in Harrisburg, Ark., daughter of John and Ora Archer Graves. She and Burless "Jack" Ross were married Sept. 29, 1956, in East St. Louis, Ill. He died April 3, 1999...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Syble Edna Ross, 81, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born Jan. 23, 1919, in Harrisburg, Ark., daughter of John and Ora Archer Graves. She and Burless "Jack" Ross were married Sept. 29, 1956, in East St. Louis, Ill. He died April 3, 1999.

Ross moved to Sikeston in July 1999 from Augusta, Ark.

Survivors include two sons, Vernon Brown of Sikeston, Earl Brown of Columbus, Ga.; a daughter, Wanda Branham of St. Louis; two brothers, Herman and Clyde Graves of Seattle, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons and six sisters.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Whitelake Cemetery in Fitzhugh, Ark.
