CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Sybil Bernice Weakley, 85, of Charleston died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born June 7, 1919, in Black Oak, Ark., daughter of Almath Witt and Bertha Simpkins Hodge. She and James A. Weakley were married Jan. 6, 1934. He died March 23, 1980.
Weakley was a clerk at Buckner-Ragsdale, retiring in 1964. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Charleston.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Weakley of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Ruth Ellen Martin of Bedford, Texas, Janette Riley of Blodgett, Mo.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Keith Huffman officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
