Sybil Mae Loos, 86, of Jackson passed away Friday, May 26, 2006, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 13, 1919, in Advance, Mo., daughter of Ray and Rosebud Shaner Brown. She and Emil Loos were married May 11, 1937. He passed away Aug. 10, 1992...

Sybil Mae Loos, 86, of Jackson passed away Friday, May 26, 2006, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.

She was born July 13, 1919, in Advance, Mo., daughter of Ray and Rosebud Shaner Brown. She and Emil Loos were married May 11, 1937. He passed away Aug. 10, 1992.

Sybil attended Jackson High School. She worked 35 years at the former International Shoe Co. in Jackson and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Loving survivors include a son, Ryland Loos and friend Pat Duane of Voorheesville, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Terry (Debra) Loos of Liberty, Mo., Darlene (Gordon) Jones of Shawnee, Kan., Patricia (Chris) Bernard of Belton, Mo.; two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.

Also surviving are two brothers, Roy Brown and Kenneth (Peggy) Brown, all of Jackson; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty Lee" (John) Moyle of Manchester, N.J., Mary Crites of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Loos, Nov. 27, 2001, and a daughter-in-law, Linda Loos, Dec. 15, 1999.

Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m., at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
