Suzanne Riehl, 66, of Jackson passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Aug. 29, 1954, in Piggott, Arkansas, daughter of Dr. William Festus and Katherine Harwell Vance Turner Sr. She and Van Riehl were married April, 19, 1984, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Suzanne was an elementary school educator for 25 years, serving most of her career at Alma Schrader Elementary School in Cape Girardeau.
Loving survivors include her husband of 37 years of marriage; a stepson, Lucas Riehl of Baltimore; two granddaughters; three siblings, Mary Kay Rhoades of Joplin, Missouri, Kimberly Anne West of Anchorage, Alaska, and William (Janet) Festus Turner Jr. of Harviell, Missouri. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family held a private celebration of life service.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson was in charge of the arrangements.
