SUSIE V. SAUCEDA

ORAN -- Susie V. Sauceda, 87, of Oran, died Wednesday, May 19, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 1, 1906, in Chicota, Texas, daughter of Elnester and Josepha Valdez. She and Vidal Sauceda Sr. were married in 1922 in Nixon, Texas. He died Oct. 14, 1989.

Sauceda was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church.

Survivors include eight sons, Elisio, Jessie, Alex, John and Mike Sauceda of Oran, Raymond, Tom Romas and Vidal Sauceda Jr. of Sikeston; eight daughters, Josephine Moreno of Nixon, Josie Turner, Betty Guzman, Emma Guzman, Sandra Turner and Dora Graham of Oran, Mary Brown and Lupe Freeze of Holly Springs, Miss.; 58 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son and grandson.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Church. The Rev. Normand Varone will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
