ANNISTON -- Susie Mae Talley Kearby, 83, of Anniston died Monday, May 29, 2000, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 11, 1916, at Blytheville, Ark., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hanes. She and Charles G. Talley Sr. were married in 1932. He died March 19, 1994. She and Owen M. Kearby were married May 9, 1956. He died Feb. 2, 1999.
She was raised by the Mike Berry family during her early years.
Survivors include four sons, Charles "Big Red" Talley of Miner, David Leon Talley of Camden Point, John Talley of Jamesville, Wisc. and Owen Kearby of East Prairie; a stepson, Gary Kearby of Rockford, Ill.; six daughters, Katherine Edwards of East Prairie, Mary Adams of Diehlstadt, Ellen Williams and Cindy Davidson, both of Anniston, Doris Wade of Somonauk, Ill., Linda Chilton of Choctaw, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Loretta Kearby of Rockford, Ill., and Judy Kearby of Florida; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home at East Prairie.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
