Susan Lee Rosenberger Papendick, 60, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, May 8, 2013.
She was born Sept. 18, 1952, in Boston to Douglas (former local FBI agent in charge) and Wanda Lee Rosenberger of Cape Girardeau.
Susan graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in 1973 and a master of arts in English in 1975. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority.
She taught at Oran, Mo., and then with Cape Girardeau School District as GED coordinator many years. She completed her teaching career at Southeast Missouri State University as adjunct faculty in English.
Survivors include her husband, M. David Papendick; two sisters, Carol Anne Rosenberger and Alice Rosenberger Steinweg (Gordy); two nieces, Rebecca Osburn (Seth) and Alissa Hare (Patrick); a great-niece, Lydia Osburn; five great-nephews, Croix Hare, Carson Hare, Cohen Hare, Caiden Hare and Pierce Osburn.
A service in her memory will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Southside Baptist Church, 805 Hackberry St. in Cape Girardeau.
A gathering in remembrance of her life will follow at the church.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in her memory to Southeast Missouri State University, Wehking Alumni Center, One University Plaza, MS 7300, Cape Girardeau, Mo., 63701.
