EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral for Sue Mainord of East Prairie will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at First Christian Church. Martin Lucas and Fred Girdwood will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.

Mainord, 77, died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Oct. 11, 1922, at East Prairie, daughter of Ules Grant and Myrtle Tanner Presson. She and Franklin Scott Mainord were married Dec. 26, 1948. He died March 8, 1994.

Mainord was a member of First Christian Church, and taught Sunday School and Bible School many years.

Survivors include two sons, Franklin Mainord Jr. of Benton, Kevin Mainord of East Prairie; a daughter, Martha Mainord of the home; a sister, Faye Fisher of Memphis, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
