Sylvia "Sue" Hunt, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sunday, July 23, 1933, in Leadwood, Missouri, to Rowan and Lena Arnoldi. She and Dr. Donald Hunt were married Saturday, April 11, 1953, at Leadwood United Methodist Church in Leadwood. They had been married 62 years.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Donald Hunt of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Debra Sue (Robert) Blasiney of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Frank (Devon) Blasiney, Katherine Blasiney and Elliott Walshon of Cape Girardeau; and three great-grandchildren, Adaline Blasiney and Layla and Landyn Walshon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Celeste Gay Douglas; and a sister, Gay Browne.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Sullenger officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church Women's Group.
