PERRYVILLE -- Stuart A. Shortt Sr., 89, formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at Med Center 1 in Mandan, N.D. He was born Feb. 20, 1906, in Petersburg, Va., son of James H. and Mary Tucker Shortt. He and Mary Alice Tolman were married June 7, 1930...

PERRYVILLE -- Stuart A. Shortt Sr., 89, formerly of Perryville, died Wednesday, April 5, 1995, at Med Center 1 in Mandan, N.D.

He was born Feb. 20, 1906, in Petersburg, Va., son of James H. and Mary Tucker Shortt. He and Mary Alice Tolman were married June 7, 1930.

Shortt was former administrator at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was a former member of First Presbyterian Church and Perryville Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Stuart Shortt Jr. of Mandan; a sister, Frances McNaughton of St. Louis; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with Jim Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Monday.
