Stevyn Synclair Shipp, 26, of Nashville, Tenn., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1996, in Nashville.
He was born Nov. 16, 1969, son of Rev. Robert T. and Deloris Braxton Shipp Jr.
Shipp was a graduate of Central High School, and received a bachelor of science degree from Milliken University in Decatur, Ill. He formed the Milliken University Inspirational Choir, sang with the Verity Choir, and made recordings with Shippmate.
Survivors include his parents of Nashville; a sister, Zenobia Shipp; two brothers, I. Angelo and Robert Shipp III, all of Nashville; grandmothers, Ilar Bonds and Ruth Braxton; great-grandmothers, Maggie Pegues and Irene Thornton.
Friends may call at Smith Funeral Chapel in Nashville from 7-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Original Church of God Headquarters in Nashville, with Elder Edward Harrison officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Spring Hill Cemetery.
