Steven "Skinny" Joseph Thomas, 65, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born Oct. 29, 1954, in Chaffee, Missouri, to the late Earl James and Mary Catherine Kiefer Thomas. He was united in marriage to Patricia "Trish" Harris on Aug. 14, 1976, and she survives of the home.
Skinny was a laborer with local Union 1104 of Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his loving wife, Trish; daughter, Michelle (Shannon Mungle) Dietrich of Cape Girardeau; brother, Robert Thomas of St. Charles, Missouri; sister Diana (Doyle) Tankersley of Centerville, Missouri; and grandchildren, Maddisan and Marrlana Dietrich and Brianna and Logan Thomas.
He was preceded by a son, Steven Thomas II, and two brothers.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Jim Smiley as officiant. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
