SIKESTON Funeral service for Steven Michael Coffey of Sikeston was held Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Revs. David Craig and James Hewitt, brother-in-law of Coffey, officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Coffey, 26, died Wednesday, July 3, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 24, 1964, in Flint, Mich., son of Kenneth and Alma Bean Coffey.
Coffey was a 1983 graduate of Sikeston High School, attended Murray State University, and was a senior at Southeast Missouri State University. He was owner/manager of Baskin-Robbins, and co-owner of Coffey Plaza. He was a member of Powerhouse of God Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include two daughters, Amber and Candice Coffey of Sikeston; his parents of Sikeston; a brother, Jeff Coffey of Sikeston; two sisters, Cynthia Hewitt of Dexter, Sheila VanMeter of Sikeston, and paternal grandparents, Russell and Ruth Coffey of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents.
