Steven Nelson Farrow, 61, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at the home of a sister in Jackson.

He was born Nov, 15, 1954, to Nelson C. and Emma F. Sparkman Farrow. He and Rose M. Jett were married Nov. 14, 1992, in Cape Girardeau.

Steve was a 1973 graduate of the former College High School in Cape Girardeau. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on Dec. 21, 1973, in Cape Girardeau. He was honorably discharged Dec. 2, 1976, in Fort Carson, Colorado.

Upon returning to Cape Girardeau, he worked at the former Warren Skinner Plumbing and Heating in Jackson, 10 years at Southeast Missouri State University and briefly at Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau. He then worked 13 years as a manager for the former Defender, now Securitas Security, at Procter & Gamble.

Loving survivors include his wife of 23 years, Rose of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Brandi Farrow of Jackson; two sisters, Linda Farrow of Jackson and Barb (Gary) Bruce of Whitewater; a brother, Kim (Brenda) Hindman of Cape Girardeau; several nieces and nephews; and four loving canine companions, Brutus, Skippy, Sugar and Storm-e.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Dix and Gloria (Bill) Rahkopf; a brother-in-law, Larry Jennings; and a beloved canine companion, Pete.

A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Cremation accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
