PINHOOK -- Sterling L. "Chubby" Joiner, 40, of Pinhook, died Saturday, April 27, 1991, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 24, 1950, at East Prairie, son of Johnnie and Luella Verse Joiner. He married the former Peggy Mitchell.
Joiner was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Sterling Joiner of the home; a daughter, Lucretia Joiner of the home; his mother of St. Louis; a brother, Clarence Joiner of St. Louis; six sisters, Lillie Bell and Edna Roberts of Benton Harbor, Mich., Virginia Rice and Ceretha Richardson of St. Louis, Glenneice Rodgers of Memphis, Tenn., and Odessa Audington of Chicago.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthew's Baptist Church in Charleston. The Rev. Wiley Reed will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery there.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
