Stephen M. Mantz, 64, passed way Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at Jackson Manor.
He was born Feb. 5, 1954, in Cape Girardeau to William and Hilda Koechig Mantz.
He worked several years as a security officer. He was also an amateur radio operator for the National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky.
He attended St. Paul Lutheran School and was a graduate of Jackson High School.
He had made his home with his cousin, Mary Springer, until entering the nursing home.
He is survived by a brother, Roy Mantz of Jackson; cousin, Mary Springer of Jackson; sister-in-law, Deloris Mantz of Marble Hill, Missouri; five nephews; and four great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Mantz.
There will be no services.
