Stephen Gettings

OSCEOLA, Mo. — Stephen Lynn Peal Gettings was born March 5, 1945, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to Charles Stephen and Ella Haw Peal.

She left this earth Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, to join her family members preceding her in death: her father and mother; sister Jane Ellen; husband Bill Gettings; and son Richard Gettings.

Stephen graduated salutatorian from Bloomfield (Missouri) High School in May 1962. She was united in marriage to Bill Gettings of Chaffee, Missouri, on July 13, 1962. She was a respiratory therapist and a certified polysomnograph technician until she retired. She enjoyed her family, crafting, quilting and sewing.

Stephen is survived by her son, William Keith (Missy) Gettings of Salem, Missouri; grandsons William, Robert and James; great-grandson Keith; granddaughter K.C. Rae (Matt); and great-grandson Max.

She also is survived by her family by love, her sister by choice, Pat Putthoff; daughter Kim (Robert) Gaylord; and granddaughter Kristina (Josh) Gaylord. She will be missed forever by her other numerous family and friends.

Finally, she is survived by her furry family, Bella, Scruffy, Kingsley and Kitty Cat.

She will be missed more than words can say.

Final disposition is cremation under the direction of the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home in Osceola.
