Stephen Buck

Stephen Bruce Buck, 70, of Scott City died Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

He was born Aug. 9, 1952, in Cape Girardeau to Dorman L. and Georgia Smith Buck. He married Linda Zuck in 1984, and she preceded in him in death.

He worked as a railroad clerk for 40 years and a day for Union Pacific. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by two brothers, Vernon (Olivia) Buck of Honolulu and George (Cinda) Buck of Claremore, Oklahoma; two sisters, Barbara (Gary) McIntyre of Cape Girardeau and Carol Swinford of Chaffee; a sister-in-law, Bessie Buck of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.

Stephen was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Kenneth, and three sisters, Jeanette, Linda and Margaret.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
